The Marketing Audit

A marketing audit is an important tool in determining any gaps and areas of improvement that are required in an organisations marketing plan. 

It has two main areas of focus:
1. The External Audit
2. The Internal Audit. 

The External Audit looks at the following items:
- Economic Environment
- Competitive Environment
- Market Environment
- Customer Relationship
  Management

The Internal Audit covers detailed areas of the organisation, such as:
- Products
- Pricing
- Promotion
- Place 
- People
- Physical Environment
- Processes
- Sales Management
- Organisational Culture
- Strategic Planning
